On May 5th the Tracy Press featured the Tracy Police Department’s K-9 unit and VCSi in a story entitled “Tracy police dogs to do double duty.” A representative from the Tracy Press joined VCSi and Tracy PD’s K-9 unit for a recent training day. The Tracy Press highlighted that some of the K-9’s trained by VCSi were dual-purpose dogs, trained for patrol and narcotics detection. The story talks about the training, the capabilities of the K-9s, and the bond that officers have with their K-9 partners.
VCSi’s regional K-9 trainer John White is quoted regarding the K-9’s superior sense of smell. VCSi’s Steve Holidy was featured in photographs for the story while in a bite suit helping with bite training scenarios. The Tracy Police Department is a valued client of VCSi and we are honored to be part of their K-9 team.
